Endowment
Supporting exhibition, education, and facility needs in perpetuity, for the benefit of current and future generations.

The Gadsden Arts Center has grown steadily since it was founded in 1994 to improve the quality of life in our community through the arts. Gadsden Arts now attracts 22,700 annual visits for exhibitions, education programs, cultural enrichment and social events. Positive impacts of Gadsden Arts include downtown revitalization, economic development, promotion of our region’s artistic talent, and educational, social, and philanthropic opportunities. The Gadsden Arts Center is widely recognized for its quality exhibitions, historic setting, museum-quality facilities, and professional staff.

The Campaign for the Future II builds upon this leading reputation, and momentum developed through recent years’ successes, to fuel continued growth for the growing benefit of our broad community. To date, generous contributions and pledges have brought Gadsden Arts to 81% of the campaign goal, which will fuel growth in exhibitions and education programs for 5–7 years and build perpetual support through endowment.

The Campaign for the Future II at work...
Early campaign contributions collected at the end of 2011 are already at work in our community through continued excellence in exhibitions and interpretive programming planned for 2012, and in additional education programs introduced in recent months.

Executive Director Grace Maloy and Curator Angie Barry  are taking an exciting trip to the ever vibrant and culturally rich city of New Orleans, Louisiana, May 17–20, 2012.

The group is staying in the heart of downtown New Orleans within walking distance of countless galleries and cultural venues. The trip is begins with a tour of Hard Truths: The Art of Thornton Dial exhibition and the Permanent Collection of the New Orleans Museum of Art, and ends with a private tour around the city to various artists’ studios to see what contemporary artists are creating now, and private homes to learn about the depth and quality of art collectors in New Orleans. Additional tours will be to the Ogden Museum of Art and Longue Vue House and Gardens.  Proceeds from the Annual Fine Art Trip support the Gadsden Arts Center Permanent Collection Care and Acquisition Fund.

For information on future art trips, contact Angie Barry at 850.627.5021 or angie.barry@gadsdenarts.org
Help provide outstanding young performers the means to further their artistic development by sending a child to art camp.
The Gadsden Arts Center Art Camp is a cultural, social, and educational experience for children, combining enjoyment of original art in the galleries, studio art activities, and cultural content from around the world to create a fun, enriching program.

It is our goal this year to raise enough scholarship funds to reduce camp tuition for 100% of participating families.

To contribute a $75 tuition scholarship, call Grace Robinson Maloy at 850.627.5020, or mail your contribution to 13 N. Madison Street, Quincy, FL, 32351.
